Matt Badler | Malone
PROJECT SUMMARY
Updating the only surviving long-distance Bell Telephone exchange in St. Louis, which was built in 1903, was a unique creative challenge for the ONYX team. How to nurture community, draw in employees from Twain Financial Group to create population density in the building, and extend that development momentum into the surrounding area, all while maintaining the beauty of the original building. Jassen Johnson worked from the ground up to create a space that appealed to one and all, adding to a section of St. Louis that only continues to grow.
RELATIONSHIP HIGHLIGHT
By partnering with the ONYX team, Matt Badler, co-founder of Twain Financial Group, worked with Jassen to redevelop a beautifully historic building into the residential and creative office space now referred to as Malone. With 75 apartments, offices and coworking spaces, restaurants and small businesses (including a tattoo parlor on the main floor!), this new headquarters anchors the growing neighborhood around it. - This building isn’t a headquarters for Twain Financial - this is talking about the Malone Apartment Building. It has the 75 Apartments, Maker’s Space, an Office Tenant and Tattoo Parlor - which Matt thought was cool and fit with the edginess of the building. Malonestl.com (is the website of the building) - let me know if you need more information
